"Extensive" new TV spot for Iron Man 3: watch now Feb 4th 2013, 08:56 Last night’s Super Bowl final saw the launch of a brand new Iron Man 3 TV spot, featuring one spectacular new set-piece that looks set to leave jaws clamped to the floor. The new spot kicks off with a clever-clever riff on the use of the term “extended look” before hurtling into the action, with a battered Tony Stark stating his need to make a lot of apologies. Then things kick up a notch with an explosion aboard a plane leaving our hero with some human plate-spinning to do. Time to get the old game face on, Tony… Take a look below: You might also have noticed a look at Don Cheadle’s War Machine in his new armour, while there’s also a snippet of dialogue from Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin. Not too much in the way of jokes still, but we guess Marvel are keen to play up the peril and gravity of the set-up in their promo material. Directed by Shane Black and co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce and Rebecca Hall, Iron Man 3 opens in the UK on 26 April 2013.
