Happy Birthday To Us!

Who is that hot ad girl? turns 3 years old today. We started on Super Bowl Sunday in 2011 thinking a Tumblr about hot ad girls in commercials might be what the Internet deserves, and what it needs right now. So we’ll hunt down the names and photos of these girls. Because you can take it. Because we’re not stalkers or creepers. We’re a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A place to celebrate the actresses in ads. We’re Who is that hot ad girl?

Thanks to all our readers who have made our site one of the best Tumblrs on the web. We’ve had fun and some pain sleuthing out who these women are and giving them the exposure they deserve. We’d also like to thank the sites who’ve mentioned us and all the WITHAGs who’ve appreciated our efforts. We love that you love the site and what it’s all about.

It’s Super Bowl Sunday and it’s the biggest day of the year to celebrate commercial-dom. Watch the big game, enjoy the sentimental and hilarious commercials and come back to WITHAG to find out who that hot ad girl is.

Thanks!

-Team WITHAG

Nicholas Hoult talks Mad Max: Fury Road
Jan 31st 2013, 18:13

In the current issue of Total Film magazine (out now, and available for just £1.99 on your iPad), we chat to Nicholas Hoult about his upcoming slate.

The geeky kid from About A Boy, who scored big in his adolescence with Skins, is now properly grown up and leaping into the blockbuster league.

After landing support turns in the varied likes of A Single Man and X-Men: First Class, Hoult’s playing the romantic lead (albeit a zombiefied one) in Warm Bodies (think Twilight with a sense of humour), and as well as an X-sequel, he’s working on long-awaited, oft-delayed sequel/prequel/spin-off, Mad Max: Fury Road.

When we asked him about George Miller’s return to the dystopian thrills of steroidal muscle cars and road warriors, a shaven-headed Hoult told us about his involvement.

On his character, a young warrior named Nux, he explained, “He’s like a puppy basically. That’s how I see him. He gets to drive one of the fastest pursuit vehicles and just lives and dies for that,” before explaining that the stunt driving was mostly left to the professionals.

“It’s all well and good in my head and I’m like ‘I can drive!’ But then you see all the other cars around and how much is going on and how talented all the drivers are - I dunno, I’d probably get all nervous and stall and panic if I was doing it.”

Warm Bodies opens in the UK on 8 February 2013, with Mad Max: Fury Road set to open in 2014.

The Girl Who Played With Fire could continue without Daniel Craig
Feb 1st 2013, 12:22

Having grappled long and hard over budget on The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, it's understood that Sony are tightening the pursestrings over David Fincher's proposed sequel, which may move forward without Daniel Craig, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.

The first film cost a hefty $90m to make, and despite taking $233m worldwide, Sony are keen to restrict the budget second time out.

Blomkvist plays a pared-back role in the second story, which focuses largely on Rooney Mara's character, Lisbeth Salander. But it's hard to imagine Blomkvist being cut from Steve Zaillian's script without the need for major rewrites.

Blomkvist and Salander's separate plot threads converge over the course of the next two stories (The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest), and much of the dramatic meat comes from the odd-couple pairing.

However, whether Fincher would want to remain on the project would be up for debate. Craig was his choice first time out, and with Sony looking to cut costs at every turn, it may represent a proposition that's more trouble than it's worth...
