All of us have had our share of crushes — while some have them early in life, others do so much later. And if it is a childhood crush, the one that most of us fondly remembers, it is the one on our teachers, who have shaped our futures — be it that oh-so beautiful Maths teacher or the Chemistry teacher with a hero-esque look. As we celebrate Teacher's Day today, telly celebs talk about the teachers they have had a crush on and who have changed their lives in more than one way…

Krushna Abhishek
I was 12 when I had my first crush on a teacher. She used to come home to teach me Maths and I really liked her. She must have been around 27 then. Not only did she help me score really high in Maths, but also added a lot of spice to my life… which was only in my dreams. I was very sad and brooded for days after she left. I even met her after college once, but alas, that was only a cordial meeting.

I had a crush on my English teacher when I was in 10th standard. She was young, beautiful and an excellent teacher. She would correct all my mistakes, and be extremely polite about it. My friends and I were totally smitten with her. We'd wait at the staircase during the lunch break only to see her pass by. That explains why English was my favourite subject. I remember one Teachers' Day, when, unlike others, I brought her a red rose! And much to my amazement, she accepted it with her beautiful smile. For me, that was my best Teachers' Day. It was a priceless moment that still brings a smile on my face.

Vida Samadzai
There were two male teachers in college, who I always looked forward to meet in their respective classes. One was hilarious and made us laugh every second while the other one had grey hair. I have a weakness for grey hair. I really didn't have a crush on any teacher, but there were teachers with whom I shared some chemistry. But I left it at that and didn’t even make it obvious. They loved me because I was a topper and I liked the attention I was being showered upon. They’ve motivated me and taught to laugh, be kind and to lead from the front.

I had a crush on my dance instructor when I was in my early teens. Whatever I am today is because of him. He taught me how to dance from scratch. He was goodlooking and any student would love to have a smart and talented teacher like him. Unfortunately, he is not with us any more. As a practice, I always remember him before performing and also dedicate all my performances to him. I miss him a lot. He is the best teacher I have ever come across. Wherever he is, I wish him a very happy Teacher’s Day.

Eijaz Khan
I was a student of OLPS School in Chembur. I should be appreciated for my guts as the teacher I had a crush on, was the vice-principal. She used to train me for elocution competitions. She taught me all the right pronunciations and intonations. It is helping me till date, as acting is all about delivering your dialogues with the right pronunciation. She was regal and very hot, spoke well and was always well-dressed. The best part was that I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time learning from her. I was in third standard and she was this beautiful princess who mesmerised me every time she appeared. I simply wouldn’t stop blushing when she used to be around me.

Tina Dutta
I had a huge crush on Bomkesh Chattopadhyay, my English teacher. Though he was an average-looking married man, I still felt attracted to him. He was charismatic, decent and soft-spoken. As a kid, I used to dump my food in the bin whenever it wasn’t of my liking. One day, Bomkesh sir saw me doing that and made me understand the importance of food. He told me there are so many children dying of hunger. I felt ashamed and decided never to waste food again, no matter how bad it tastes. It was the best lesson I learnt from my favourite teacher.

Vivian Dsena
My first crush was on my Chemistry teacher, when I was in the 11th standard. No points for guessing why I scored highest in the subject. I used to attend Chemistry classes only so that I could see her. I would bunk classes for other subjects because there was nothing that could pull me towards them. She stood tall at about five feet nine niches and was extremely beautiful. Her long hair and infectious smile attracted me the most. I used to be this over-enthusiastic student, who would wait for the class to begin, hoping it would never end.
