New NSFW clip from The Master: watch now Sep 10th 2012, 09:50 The Master has released a new clip online, and its definitely not safe for work. Not unless your boss is cool with the repeated use of the word "pussy" that is… The new clip shows Joaquin Phoenix's character, an ex-naval man with a history of violent outbursts, taking a psychological evaluation, involving the classic ink-blot test. The conclusions he draws from the various images are all variations upon a theme, and should give you some idea of how his mind works. It's fairly amusing, if not a little troubling. Take a look at the new clip, below… As we mentioned above, it's quite a funny scene, although Jonny Greenwood's score and Phoenix's increasingly agitated facial contortions combine to add an air of discomfort to proceedings. Indeed, all the footage we've seen so far seems explicitly designed to wrong-foot the viewer. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and co-starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams, The Master opens in the UK on 9 November 2012.
