First teaser for Only God Forgives: watch now Jan 7th 2013, 08:09 The first footage has arrived for Only God Forgives in the form of a 20 second teaser, which hints at the orgy of blood-soaked violence to come. The new teaser is all action, as Ryan Gosling’s criminal exile punches, kicks and shoots his way through a host of aggressors, both in and out of the ring of the Thai boxing club he manages. “Time to meet the Devil,” quips Gosling at the end of the footage, suggesting that this bone-snapping badass might at least be a little more loquacious than his Drive counterpart. Take a look, below… The film will follow Gosling’s character as he finds himself inexorably drawn into a fight to the death with a retired cop, after his brother is murdered, and vengeance demanded by his fearsome mother (Kristin Scott Thomas). Directed by Nicholas Winding Refn and co-starring Tom Burke and Sahajak Boonthanakit, Only God Forgives opens in the director’s native Denmark on 23 May 2013, with a UK date to be confirmed.
