Bollywood Movies in Trouble for Copyright Issues Aug 29th 2012, 15:12 It has happened all too often that our filmmakers have drawn inspiration from international music tracks and even scripts made popular by Hollywood. So it comes as no surprise when Bollywood directors blindly replicate storylines, plots and even the screenplay without proper permission from the makers of the original film. The result is they have to face copyright infringement lawsuits which come with severe implications in the form of monetary compensation. In a recent copyright case, the makers of the film Desi Boyz have been charged with copying a story scripted by someone else for the film.
