Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy star in red-band trailer for The Heat Dec 20th 2012, 12:35 A new trailer has arrived for The Heat, director Paul Feig's follow-up to Bridesmaids in which Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy play a mismatched double-act of uptight FBI agent and badass cop. Bullock stars as prissy by-the-book Sarah Ashburn, a Federal Agent forced into partnership with McCarthy's foul-mouthed cop Shannon Mullins in the pursuit of a ruthless drug lord. Much mismatched hilarity ensues as Mullins tries to get Ashburn to loosen up, getting her on the dancefloor, plying her with drink and having her chuck a few grenades about. Take a look, below: Admittedly, this doesn't look in the Bridesmaids league in terms of humour, but given the hoary old subject matter, that's to be expected. What we do have is a promising buddy-comedy, with Bullock and McCarthy looking a well-matched double-act. Co-starring Michael Rapaport, Demián Bichir and Thomas F. Wilson, The Heat will open in the UK on 5 April 2013.
