New trailer for Jack The Giant Slayer: watch now Nov 21st 2012, 09:58 Jack The Giant Slayer recently underwent a name change (“Giant Killer” sounds too stabby, apparently), and now there’s a new trailer to match, as Nicholas Hoult goes up against the titular monsters. Narrated by the familiar tones of Sir Ian McKellen, the new trailer adopts a suitably epic feel, from the courtly glamour of the king’s castle, to the towering beanstalk itself. And then there are the giants, making their bow alongside a diabolical villain played by a typically flamboyant Stanley Tucci. If nothing else, it certainly looks enjoyable… Take a look below: The film sees Hoult play the titular “simple farm boy” who is given the chance to prove his worth when he inadvertently opens a portal to the realm of the giants, and must tool up to rescue the beautiful Princess Isabelle (Eleanor Tomlinson). Directed by Bryan Singer and co-starring Ewan McGregor, Ian McShane and Bill Nighy, Jack The Giant Slayer opens in the UK on 22 March 2013.
