Three clips from Spielberg's Lincoln: watch now Nov 7th 2012, 07:21 Barack Obama might finally have been re-elected, but the Presidential excitement doesn’t end there, with three new clips emerging online for Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln. The new footage turns the spotlight upon Lincoln’s family, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt getting his moment in the son as Lincoln Jr. and Sally Field making her presence felt as “Madame President”. And of course, Daniel Day Lewis’ titular president also provides a new clip, as Lincoln explains the way the world works to a group of young upstarts. Check out the new clips, below… The film will focus on the latter years of Lincoln’s presidency, and will find our hero attempting to bring about a peaceful resolution to the American civil war, while abolishing slavery into the bargain. Co-starring Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader, John Hawkes and David Strathairn, Lincoln will open in the UK on 25 January 2013.
