Bruce Willis talks A Good Day To Die Hard
Jan 18th 2013, 16:20

Bruce Willis heads up the brand new issue of Total Film magazine, exploding onto the cover with A Good Day To Die Hard.

Inside the issue, we chat to everyone involved with the latest installment in the action franchise, to find out why audiences - and Willis - are drawn back to John McClane’s muddy vest, again and again.

You can read the full feature inside the issue (available for just £1.99 on your iPad), but here’s a snippet of what Bruce Willis had to say about the franchise…

When we asked about the action set-pieces - as Die Hard 5 contains a mammoth car chase that took 78 days to shoot - Willis refused to take responsibility, and admitted that the original DH is still the standard to aspire to.

“Everybody has their own version of what would be a great, big action sequence in the next Die Hard film,” Willis told us. “Sometimes it goes outside the box; sometimes it seems organic to the story. It’s just something you shoot - something you do.

“I’m really pleased to continue to be asked back to do other versions and other incarnations of Die Hard. The first one really is... that’s all there is. Everything else is just trying to be as good as that film.”

A Good Day To Die Hard opens in the UK on 14 February 2013.
